A different ball game

Frequent passes,
to one who is open.
Run back and forth,
shooting baskets.
Fouls, one too many,
Both teams struggle,
Winning and losing,
just part of the game.
Someday, maybe,
I too will play,
Until then I'll be,
a silent spectator.

  2. I've never been a team sportsman, so I'm forever the spectator here.

  8. A silent spectator? In life, maybe. But at a game, I could never be silent :)

    Well done!

  9. Sports are strong metaphors for life and too often we are all silent spectators. Sometimes for our own good at the moment, but regret awaits us all.
