Flicker of light
To the newt black night.
It took it with a smirk,
And snuffed it away,
Plunging into dimness.
Left me in obscurity,
Sending a shiver of gloom,
Murky, dreary despair.
I stood motionless,
Awaiting the torment,
Of the melancholic darkness.
Amidst the shadows,
Rose the radiant glow,
Of the bright and merry dawn.
