Epicly infinitesimal

Miles and miles away
A feebly cry, barely a whisper
A mighty boom, the impact
Like a thunderous clap.

Teeny, all of eighteen inched
But filled in full, many hearts
All of six pounds weighed,
But weighty was the joy.

Ounces and milliliters,
The measures spoken
But in gargantuan doses,
The love was lapped.

Those hours and days,
In it, held a lifetime
That tiny smile could
Ever outshine the sun.

The pint sized arms wrapped
Around in a tender embrace
Priceless is the love
That engulfs the soul.

Happy is what happy does

A sparkle from my chuckle
I carry with me all day
A little bit of silly, willy-nilly
Though from pranks, I keep away

Unbridled laughter, from the belly
This feeling never goes away
A smile playing on my lips
Is how I like to end my day

Au contraire

When spring has sprung
I take to my winter sports
Tubing and Tobogganing
Sound fun only as words

Spiraling down the ice
Frigidly set below zero
While I won’t chicken out
I surely ain’t no hero
