Hopelessly hollowed

My roots, eaten away,
The burrowing termites of worries,
The branches I spread out,
Moan under the burdens taxing.

My limbs creak and scrape,
When I attempt to bloom
Uprooted from the breed, I lurch
Bared to the bones, barks peeling.

Core sucking vermins crawl over me
Weakening my relentless vigor
Tomorrow  I crumble to dust,
Unknown, unseen and forgotten.
