Barrage of bliss

It rained wishes on her,
Deluge of goodwill forever,
Just an year older she was,
A day to look back, to pause.

Forty was a milestone,
To doubts, others'd be prone,
She was solid and sweet,
Staying so, not an easy feat.

Cakes and flowers showered,
From surprises, she recovered,
In the end, a day well spent,
A joyous year, it will cement.

  1. Looks like someone close to you had a milestone birthday. Isn't it sweet? Well written.
