Perceptible Gratitude

Her eyes open wide,
At the thought of school,
She dresses quick
Waking up at crack of dawn.

Her brain is wired tight,
A watertight compartment,
Of thoughts and actions,
Are a sever disconnect.

Her parents wait in calm
Anticipation of that joy,
In wishful thinking,
They seem to survive each day.
