Remembrance

Death isn’t for the timid,
Caught in its embrace, he lay,
The air around is frigid,
All around is a dreary dismay.

Efficient, he was in life,
Adventures, he had his share,
Alternated by peace and strife,
All that remains today is despair.

  1. sad, full of hopelessness, I guess there's no thing as being happy when someone is gone

I like the way you break the words, sort of read it as pauses that also mirrors his life

  2. This is nice - I like the first three lines the best... Death is not for the timid... nope, that's for sure!

  4. my feeling with this is that the departed isn't regretful at all about the life he lead, it is those he left behind, in the dreary, dismal despair. well done! -Meg
