A different ball game
Frequent passes, to one who is open. Run back and forth, shooting baskets. Fouls, one too many, Both teams struggle, Winning and losing, just part of the game. Someday, maybe, I too will play, Until then I'll be, a silent spectator.
I was in my basketball team in school. I miss that part..
ReplyDeletePages and pages of it
I've never been a team sportsman, so I'm forever the spectator here.
ReplyDeletespoken as if we are there... lakers lost bummer... excellent series did you watch??
ReplyDeleteI will always be there to cheer :-)
ReplyDeleteI for sure make a better spectator, but I do enjoy the game :)
ReplyDeleteI loved the part,
ReplyDelete"Someday, maybe,
I too will play,
Until then I'll be,
a silent spectator."
It has so many things...I have been living a life such way :)
I can almost hear the shoes squeaking on the gym floor after reading this. A great write!
ReplyDeleteA silent spectator? In life, maybe. But at a game, I could never be silent :)
ReplyDeleteWell done!
Sports are strong metaphors for life and too often we are all silent spectators. Sometimes for our own good at the moment, but regret awaits us all.
