Take me away to paradise,
Where sky shall meet the earth,
The hidden Edens of yore,
Where I can roam unfettered,
Where peace prevails forever,
And quiet holds sway
People reflecting on their past,
Noble lives lived free of regret,
Setting aside segregation.
The elusive Nirvana…
Is there one beyond fantasy?
I spend my life in its pursuit!
Great words. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteVery wishful.

I almost used "unfettered" in my poem, too. How fun is that?!

You express so nicely the desire we all have to roam unfettered..by time and space.
ReplyDeleteWell stated. But almost sad, perhaps because I don't believe in the achievement of paradise at least in who and what we are at this moment. I enjoyed the poem.
ReplyDeleteI too yearn to be taken away to.... Lovely thought.

ReplyDeleteGreat post!
An excellent piece about the gulf all of us find in our own souls.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your poetry, thought provoking and hopeful. I thought your title for the piece was especially clever as well.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful....lovely to read you. Will be back...I promise.
ReplyDeleteHave wracked my mind with similar questioning. Well written.
