A departure poem

A departure from routine
I sought for long

When the day was here,
I was forlorn

All I had wanted was to
Lay in peace

But worrying about life, I
Wasn't able to cease

With a burden of thoughts
I left home

A new land, far away, I
aimed to roam

In a few days, I returned
To my domain

The yearning for a holiday
does not wane.
