Spring-ter

The wait has been long
For the hues to burst out
The pinks and the pastels
Are delayed beyond doubt

Holding to its last leg
The toothless frigid frost
Let go, if it doesn’t
Our spring could be lost

Winter and summer alone
Cannot hold the balance
The moderates play their part
Even if there isn’t valiance
