So loving

I begin in apprehension,
I tiptoe in exhilaration
The excitement builds,
I seek to meet my little one.

One look and I am hooked,
In my arms, as he sleeps,
I watch with bated breath,
His petal like skin, I caress.

The moment stands frozen,
In time and in me,
Years have passed since
That moment still breathes.

Enveloped in love of each
other. Oblivious to the
entire world. Soaking in
Reveling in the 'oh so loving'.

For today’s prompt, take the phrase “So (blank),” replace the blank with a word or phrase, make the new phrase the title of your poem, and then, write your poem
