Going along the empty road
Without a care, as he rode
Leaving everything, he just soared,
The ringing of his phone, he ignored
To keep on going, he did long,
On the highway, going along
He once slowed, when he saw,
Some thing made him stand in awe,
The beauty of it was stunning,
Amazed, he stood, wary of returning
He felt refreshed, energy flowed,
He was glad that, he once slowed.
Great rhyming!

I want to know what he stopped for. Whatever it was, I'm glad it was worth it to him. We all need that sometimes.

ReplyDeleteenjoyable read... the last line was the kick...
ReplyDeleteI had incorporated that thing for which he slowed in my draft - yes, UL , it would have had to be nature's pure beauty:); but then, didn't feel it made enough sense... so left it at something; thank you all for taking the time to read and all the comments! appreciate every word!
